So close and yet so far!

Lots has happened since I last posted but there is still a lot left to be done.  We are really hoping the end is near!

Most of the tile is in and ready for grout!

March 21, 2019

Grout is complete.  I like all of my color selections except the shower floor and niche grout.  I wish it was darker.  The itty-bitty grout sample I picked looked much darker.  Oh well.  It looks good, I'm just afraid it will be hard to keep clean.

Glad I got to see my beautiful floors before they covered them up!  I'm also glad they covered them up before they painted the ceiling!

They finally took the scaffolding down so we could see the house again!

March 25, 2019

Our trees arrived!  The city of Fernandina is requiring us to plant 6 palm trees.  Palm trees are HEAVY!  It took lots of man power to get them planted.  It is nice to have strong men friends to help!  Now we have to water them twice a day for 30 days.

March 28, 2019

Lights!  We have lights in the craft room!

April 8, 2019

The trim carpenter is working very hard.  We're hearing that the elevator arrives tomorrow.  The appliances are supposed to be delivered Wednesday.  We're getting the crane again to move the appliances and vanities into the house.  That is supposed to happen Wednesday or Thursday.

It seems like we are awfully close, but we still don't have a gas tank, a driveway, railings or stairs to the roof.

We can't wait!!!

Stay tuned!
