The Finish Line is In Sight!
We don't think we'll make the end of March (the latest prediction from the builder), but maybe by the end of April, fingers crossed!

The sheetrock team started putting up the sheetrock!
As I got closer, he flew to several windows and then settled himself on top of the step ladder in the guest bedroom.
Tony and I tried to get him to fly out a window but he decided to fly into the craft room and hang from a wire.
We finally got him to fly out the double doors on the front of the house.

Drywall mudding and taping was underway.
March 4, 2019
Doors and trim were delivered.
March 5, 2019
While we were checking out the progress on the drywall, we noticed water on the 3rd floor. The builder says that it is because the 2nd layer of stucco has not yet been applied. He says the rain is coming through the block / windows which won't be sealed until the 2nd coat of stucco is applied.
March 6, 2019
The first delivery of tile came. The driver did not have a fork truck so our foreman and one other worker had to move all of the boxes of 24x24 inch tile into the garage by hand!

The first coat of paint is being applied.
March 8, 2019
The second load of tile was delivered. This time, the foreman had secured a fork truck to move the tile into the garage.
The installation of the floating staircase got started. I wish I could have been there to see how many men it took to put it in place!

Tony and I started to assemble the "temporary" stairs that will go from the first floor balcony to the sand at the back of the house.
Our neighbor stopped by to say that the house looked really good from the beach side. We didn't even realize that they had applied the 2nd coat of stucco to the back of the house!
March 10, 2019
We finished assembling the stairs for the back side of the house.
Tiling starts Monday!!! It won't be long now!!!

The floating stairs were delivered. It took several men to carry the support beam into the garage.

I went over to see how the sheetrock installation was going and I found a little visitor in the house! A tiny screech owl was perched on the wall of the 3rd floor shower!
Tony and I tried to get him to fly out a window but he decided to fly into the craft room and hang from a wire.
